Kayla Rowland

Kayla is an award winning musician in the state of Colorado and Missouri. She does Musical Theatre, Choir, Band, and has won multiple awards from them. She plays the clarinet and was first chair in her High School Symphonic Band her junior year. She also was a part of her High School Marching Band all four years. She was section leader for the Clarinets from 2018-2020. In Choir she has been in her top elite choirs in High School, made the All-District SATB Choir her senior year. Kayla has gone to competition with vocal solos and has received an award for ‘Exemplary’ at district twice in 2019 and 2020, which is the highest award, and has won ‘Silver’ at state in 2019. She was also section leader for the Soprano section from 2019-2020. In college, she has been a part of the University SATB Choir, and was elected Choir Mom and got on the Leadership team in 2022, and she has been President of the Choir from 2023-Present. Kayla is also a part of the Peak Harmony A Capella group at her University. She also was asked to sing the National Anthem for her University’s baseball game in 2023. Kayla has been in Musical Theatre since 2018, and has performed many diverse roles throughout the years, some including Dorothy in “Wizard of Oz”, Lucy from “Bright Star”, The Wardrobe in “Beauty and the Beast”, and a Narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamCoat”. She has also been Music Director for the play “Joyful Noise” for the singing roles that were in the show for her College University Play. In High School, Kayla won the award “Patriot Scholar for Music” her senior year of, and has gotten the Sara Metzner Boal-Endowed Scholarship for her senior year of College. Kayla has been a director for One Act plays produced at her University, and she has directed two One Acts (2023 and 2024), she has also performed in one One Act in 2022. Kayla has taken Tap, Ballet, and Musical Theatre Dance. She also has taken a Musical Theatre Ensemble class that has given her techniques for auditioning.
